Summer House in the Tegernsee Valley
A house full of memories: of long sunny days at the lake, of family, of toys, chairs, pictures and numerous objects which, over time, have found their way there. After almost 100 years, when a new generation took over the house, they wanted to lend these memories a contemporary form. That was the task: to select especially beautiful, valuable and significant pieces from a rich collection and to present them anew. To this end, the historic fabric of the building was restored and partially reconstructed. The larch-wood furniture which was designed for the house is not aggressively modern but instead restrained, functioning like a frame for the selected pieces which first take on their own character through the colour selection of the individual rooms.
