Family House Munich

An old house from the 1930s. A contemporary family of four. And new extensions to provide more space for them. How does one bring all that together? In the original structure we emphasised the historic elements and worked with traditional techniques. And yet you move through the entire house on the same parquet floor, encounter white built-in fixtures everywhere you look and see new lines of sight to the garden, which surrounds everything. In the beginning there were many parts, in the end a home – not historically correct, but comfortable.
